Third seed Andy Murray capped off the first week of the 2008 season by capturing his fourth career ATP title and his first on hard court with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 victory over unseeded Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open. The 20-year-old Murray improved to a 4-4 record in ATP finals by winning his first outdoor title.
Rookie pairing Philipp Kohlschreiber and David Skoch saved one match point en route to a 6-4, 4-6, 11-9 (Match TB) win over South Africans Jeff Coetzee and Wesley Moodie, who were looking for their first ATP title together.
