Llodra Clinches Third ATP Title

World No. 58 Michael Llodra rallied from a set down to claim his third career ATP singles title, and his second of 2008, with a 6-7(3), 6-3, 7-6(4) over Swede Robin Soderling at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament.

The Frenchman claimed his first title of the season in the opening week at Adelaide (d. Jarkko Nieminen), where he also reached his maiden ATP singles final in 2004 (l. to Hrbaty). His first career title came in 2004 on grass in ‘s-Hertogenbosch (d. No. 3 Guillermo Coria), and he also finished runner-up there a year later (l. to Mario Ancic).

Rookie pairing Tomas Berdych and Dmitry Tursunov claimed their first ATP doubles title together with a 7-5, 3-6, 10-7 victory over Mikhail Youzhny and Philipp Kohlschreiber in a final that featured four standout singles players.

2008 Final Review







The Legend - Arthur Ashe won three of his 23 singles titles in Rotterdam. The American strolled through the Dutch tournament enough times to leave successful in 1972, 1975, and 1976. He holds the record for the most singles titles won at the event.
