Eighth-seeded Paul-Henri Mathieu cruised to his third career ATP title in the Grand Prix Hassan II in Casablanca as he defeated Spaniard Albert Montanes 6-1, 6-1.
The 25-year-old Frenchman improved his career record to 3-1 in ATP finals and it was his first title since winning in back-to-back weeks in Moscow (d. Schalken) and Lyon (d. Kuerten) in October 2002. His last final was in Palermo in 2003 (l. to Massu).
